Chieftain (Officer)
Chieftain

This is the general "Officer" rank, and retains most of the day-to-day guild management functions. A Chieftain may invite (and kick) guild mates, build 25-man raids, access the guild bank, and has super-admin privileges on the website. Additonally, Chieftains may make DKP adjustments, assess DKP penalties and awards, and promote or demote ranks up to Soldier without oversight or review.

As a Chieftain you may:

*Accept or reject a guild application.
*Moderate all forums and polls.
*Administer routine rank adjustments up to Soldier.
*Distribute goods from the guild bank.
*Manage WebDKP and the bidding process during raids.
*Update website news and announcements, and make alterations to FAQs and rules.

As a Chieftain you may not:

*Promote members beyond Soldier without due nomination process.
*Withdraw gold from the guild bank without Council approval.
*Alter post content of other members unless it is to censor offensive verbage.
*Access the guild management tools from the guild menu in-game.

Requirements

1. You must be active and involved with all aspects of the guild's functioning.
2. Consistently demonstrate a level head and reasonable judgment.
3. Have the trust and confidence of your fellow officers and the guild as a whole.
4. More than one year of time in service to the guild.

Eligibility for Promotion

Core Raider
Centurion

This is the only "NCO" rank, and is synonymous with Core Raider. These members have been deemed by the leadership to be critical raid members, and receive priority over all other Conscripts except officers on invitations. Additonally, the Centurion rank is endowed with increased administrative rights, as well as more latitude in guild bank requests afforded to junior members. With greater privilege comes greater responsibility, as is detailed below.

As a Centurion you may:

*Set The Guild Message of the Day
*Request purple items from the guild bank.
*Receive priority invitation status on all 25-man raids.
*Freely access and utilize the Core Raider forums on the website.
*Moderate threads in all forums except the Council Chambers.

As a Centurion you may not:

*View the Officer Only forums.
*Access the guild bank directly.

Requirements

1. You must be one of the guild's top raiders, reliable, consistent, and always prepared.
2. Willing to respec on a night-to-night basis to support the guild's raiding requirements.
3. Always equipped with the most effective PvE enchants, consumables, and class-enhancing mods.

Eligibility for Promotion

1. Promotion to Officer level is solely at the discretion of the guild master and the Council.
Permissions:
This rank grants the Moderator Role.
Raider
Raider

This rank represents a full member in good standing, a vested Conscript. A Soldier can be a casual player or a raider, and is considered the backbone of the guild. Soldiers will always represent the largest body of members, and is the last rank to which an aspiring member will autopromote as long as he shows up and keeps his nose clean. All senior ranks beyond Soldier are by nomination only.

As a Raider you may:

*Request blue upgrade items from the guild bank.
*Ask to join 25-man raids.
*Invoke the "Friends and Family" invite clause to a player who may not otherwise qualify.
*Form 10-man raids as well as run them on alternate characters for loot.
*Object to a probationary member (Peon) for cause and eliminate them from retention.
*Earn Standby DKP

As a Soldier you may not:

*View the core raider forums.
*Be guaranteed a raid slot.

Requirements

1. You must exceed one month's time in rank as a Grunt, or one year of guild membership to invoke the Override Clause.
2. Your activity must be reasonably visible. We like to see people log in once or twice a week.
3. For accelerated promotion, you must demonstrate consistent effort to be reliable and upgrade your gear and spec to be useful to the guild.

Eligibility for Promotion

1. Two months time in rank as a Soldier.
2. Nomination by a Centurion for promotion to Core Raider status.
3. Gear level appropriate to current raid content.
4. Final approval by guild master for promotion.

Recruit
The Recruit is the initial probationary rank at which all new members are accepted. This rank allows one to speak in guild chat, but that's about it. Expect no raid invitations, items from the guild bank, or lots of help getting keyed and geared up. The purpose of this rank is for the guild to get to know you as a person, and determine if you're going to be a good fit. You will not be subject to abuse or hazing, and you are invited to get to know your fellow Conscripts, because in the end, we have to be a good fit for YOU too.

As a Recruit you may:

*Get to know your class leader and learn what will be expected of you later on.
*Get to know your guildmates and start forging friendships.
*Offer to help senior guildmates with instances or quests.
*Ask discreetly for help with instances or quests. Do not abuse this.
*You may be asked to raid if there's a pressing need for your class.
*You may leave the guild without any hard feelings.
*You may earn DKP, but you may not spend it unless a special exception is made by an officer.

As a Recruit you may not:

*Earn standby DKP.
*Receive items from the guild bank.
*Ask to raid.
*Sponsor a friend under the "Friends and Family Invite Clause."

Requirements

1. Successfully filled out a complete application.
2. Registered and verified your account on the guild website.
3. Passed an interview with an officer of Conscripts and subsequently extended a guild invitation.
4. Have read and become familiar with each document in the "Official Guild Documentation" forum.

Eligibility for Promotion

1. Two weeks of time in rank without major rule violation. (This begins on the day of your invite!)
2. Review of your time in service by a responsible officer evaluation of your value added to the guild.

Retired Veteran
Retired Veteran

This is a special-purpose rank with limited permissions that is bestowed upon Conscripts in good standing who have left the guild, or simply discontinued playing the game while on good terms with the guild as a whole.

As a Retired Veteran you may:

*Make yourself at home and comment on posts in the forums that interest you.
*Offer insight on current events, and tips on raid content Conscripts is currently learning.

As a Retired Veteran you may not:

*Hold DKP. Your DKP is zeroed out once you are determined to have retired.
*Take sides in argumentative threads pertaining to current guild politics, especially in a manner which enflames the argument further.
*Violate any of the guild rules that apply to active members.
*Be a stranger. Stay in touch, and keep your friendships alive.

Requirements

1. Have been deemed "retired." Retirement is either imposed after 60 days of inexcused inactivity, or at the request of the member.
2. Achieved an active rank of at least "Soldier."
3. Left active service on good terms with the leadership.
4. Have communicated your desire to be remanded to Retired status with a guild officer.

Eligibility for Promotion

1. Return to active status after communicating your desire with a guild officer.
2. Willingness to return to active status and remain there for a minimum of four months from your promotion date.
3. Understanding that reinstatement to "soldier" rank does not mean fast-tracking to a higher rank you may have once earned.
